Hi, I advertised a software installation with a very
simple MSI, which are located under the shared network
(e.g. \\my_2003\my_share\my_deploy.MSI) on Windows 20003
Server (I guess it should be same as Windows 2000 Server),
so when I logged on XP client, I got the shortcut, but
this shortcut itself pointed to C:\my_share\my_deploy.MSI
instead of \\my_2003\my_share\my_deploy.MSI. I found
Carolyn Napier mentioned this is a known bug for Windows
Installer, but couldn't find the work-arould.
Does anyone know how?
Thanks in advance.

put the UNC into a property then put the property into the shortcut fields.
