Anyone one with a solution to sudden and unpredictable
shutting down of windows. As well as apparent
hibernation even though hibernation is off and serious
errors causing windows to close to prevent damage.

Interesting, both mine and my brotherin laws PCs have
similar symptoms (that is PC screen & sound go off - but
PC seems to be still running), and both started doing
this last week!
I used system restore to revert to the system as at 9
Nov, and that seemed to have stopped the sudden shutting
down but several programs no longer work and I have
corrupted files.

That is 3 PCs I know off that suddenly started shutting
down. Is this an XP bug/a virus?
