I am looking for a parameter setting in Windows XP
Professional which will change the networking for shares
from simple home networking to advanced networking. I
know its there but I can't find it. Can anyone give me
some guidance on this?

Here's how to disable simple file sharing:

1. Open My Computer and click Tools | Folder Options | View.
2. Scroll to the end of the advanced settings.
3. Un-check "Use simple file sharing (recommended).
