Advanced logical expressions in message rules

I'd like to change the default behaviour in Outlook, which for example, when
creating a rule, automatically inserts "and" and "or" keywords between the
conditions according to some logic (not bad logic, actually).
I mean, it allows me to say "a or b or c is in the subject", but it doesn't
allow me to say "(a and b is in the subject) or (c is there but b isn't
there)" etc.
The same applies for different condition types:
it allows me to say "with xy in the subject AND with zw in the sender's
address" but how to say the same with OR? Do I have to create a rule for
every permutation I want?
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, regular or logical expressions are not part of the rules
engine. To accomplish what you describe would take multiple rules. Here's
one example of how to use "and", from September of 2006:

To accomplish the "or" you mention in your final paragraph would take two
rules as well; one for the first condition and one for the second.
