I have a quick question on windows 2003 upgrade to windows 2008. I have a
32bit windows 2003 dc with all the roles including schema master. This is
the server where I will run adprep from. I have inserted the w2008 dvd and
browsed to the adprep command. From reading on w2008 literature the adprep
default command is for a 64 bit server, and if I want to run the on a 32 bit
server I need the adprep32 command. Is this correct.
Does this mean I have inserted a 64 bit w2008 dvd in my w2003 box, will this
not work. So would I need a w2008 32 bit dvd.
Any advise

Hello guv,

You are talking about the 2008 R2 i think, there are both versions included
on the disk. Adprep for 64bit and adprep32.exe for 32bit. In 2008 you have
to choose the correct installation disk for your OS architecture.

Best regards
