i have a win 2000 ts which we have installed adobe reader 6.02 on, the
problem is it has not assosiated itself with any pdf files and won't open a
pdf file in a web browser.

it worked fine with version 5

we also have acrobat standard 6.0 installed on this server.

any one got any ideas on this?

This shouldn't happen, but to fix it you'll have to do the following:

1. Make this change to the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoFileAssociate"=dword:00000000 (change to 00000001).

2. Right click a PDF File in Windows Explorer -> Open With -> Select
Acrobat Reader 6.02 -> Check "Always use the selected program to open files
of this type" -> OK

3. Change your registry value back to 00000000.
