I have a Dell Dimension 4600 Series computer, bought late in 2003. It has an
Intel Pentium 4 Processor - 2.66GHz and a 128MB DDR NVidia GeForce FX 5200
graphics card. My OS is XP Professional.

I recently tried to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 and got an error
message saying that I "must have at least VGA" in order to continue the
installation. I had installed the application originally on my work machine,
but removed it as I decided I should only be using it at home. (Don't know if
this has anything to do with it or not.)

I have Googled for information and found nothing useful, and found no
reference to Photoshop when I did a search of posts on this newsgroup. If I
am posting to the wrong newsgroup I would appreciate your directing me to the
correct spot.

Otherwise, any advice you can offer as to why PS Elements isn't seeing my
home machine's video card would be appreciated. :-)

Thanks!

A google search for "Photoshop Elements 5 installation problems, VGA"
answered your question.

It is always best to go directly to the software maker's site to find
problems with installation. Good luck, Joan

Thanks Joan! I thought I had done that, but I put "video" rather than "VGA."
DUH!
