Adobe PDF menu missing in Word 2003

XP 2002 SP3, Office 2003 SP3, Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.
Word tool bar contains PDF icons but Adobe PDF is missing from the menu bar. I can make PDFs from Word, but I can't change the conversion settings. Note that Excel does have Adobe PDF in the menu bar. Any ideas on how to fix this?
