I went to this site looking for help with the same problem. None of the
suggestions helped.
For three hours now I have not seen the Adobe pop up. This is what I did.
When you see the the pop up and your anti-virus gives you a window ( I am
using Symantec) to continue or cancel, hit continue. Then on look for the
word (More) click on that and I selected not to accept downloads from Adobe.
So far so good. Good luck.
