Adobe CS2 and Adobe Reader

I have Adobe Creative Suite 2 installed.
One element is Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0.8.
If I look in Add/Remove Programs, I also see Adobe Reader 7.0.8. I don't
know whether this is an integral part of Acrobat Pro or an old stand-alone
install.
I know there is a new version of Adobe Reader (8).
Trying to work out whether to install new version of Reader 8 and wonder if
doing so would compromise Acrobat 7.0.8 (which presumably contains older
version)?

Just found this newsgroup, adobe.acrobat.reader. Will try there too.

Decided to download Reader 8 and it errored. Used Widows Installer Clean Up
utility, http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;290301
(under More Information) to remove Registry settings for Reader 7.0.8.
Tried re-install of Reader 8 and was given option to use as default reader
with Acrobat 7.0.8. Job done.
