I'm all setup and ready to go with my Migration from NT -
2000. Exchange is set up and I want to migrate some
computers with profiles to the "new" domain.

When I run the computer migration wizard I'm getting some
errors...

WRN1:7290 Processor architecture fo machine \\name is
unkonw, Error accessing registry key system
\currentcontrolset\control\session manager\Enironment rc=5
Access Denied
ERR2:7006 Failed to instll agent on \\computername rc=5
Access Denied.
Err2:7005 Failed to launch agant on \\computername
hr=800700005 access is denied
All other agents installed. The dispatcheer is finished.

Anyone know?

Hi,

I just used the ADMT v2 last week to migrate a W2K domain
to Win2003 (different domain). I was running into the same
error - my problem ended up being that as I was running
the ADMT in the target domain and the workstations in the
source domain did not recognize the admin credentials from
the target domain, even though I had a two-way cross-
forest trust and had added the target admin account to the
source admin group.

My fix was to add the target admin account to the built-in
admin group for the workstations (small shop). You might
be able to do this in a more efficient fashion, but this
is what worked for me.

Overall, I found the ADMT to be a little difficult to use -
although I was able to translate the user accounts, not
all roaming profiles translated correctly. The computer
accounts migrated, but the local profiles on the computers
were "hit and miss" - so be aware

Probably your problem is just that you HAVE TO LOG ON in
the TARGET domain WITH THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE SOURCE
DOMAIN (Your NT DOMAIN) and then use ADMT to migrate the
computers. The computer migration requires that, the user
and group migration does not.
