admn.user acct.

      1st Jan 2007
i want to know how can i find out and change the admn.user on my computer. i
had a dsl device installed on my coputer and the tech. put my daugther as the
admn. and me as a limited user. how can i switch this 'cause i cant install a
new printer on my computer 'cause it keeps saying you are not the admn,

Log in as your daughter and make your account an administrator through the
control panel..

Simply log in using the built-in Administrator account (which
cannot be deleted) and modify the desired account(s) and use Start > Run
> "control userpasswords2" to modify the desired account(s).


By design, the only way to log into the Administrator account of
WinXP Home is to reboot into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing
CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome Screen will produce the standard login
dialog box.

first, u hav get into ur daughters or the admin account(press
ctrl+alt+del twice at the logon screen. in the user name type
"administrator" and leave the password field empty).
goto control panel ---> user accounts ---> select ur account
--->change the account type and set it as adminstrator.

log off and sign in with ur account. its done
