Hi Billie,
The application you are having difficulty may or may not create a setup
log. Each application is different.
Since you do not see the symptom with all applications, your problem with
this one application is not a Windows problem, but one specific to the
application in question. What could be causing this? The application
setup routine did not properly register itself during install, or was later
'broken" by some other process. Regarding where to look for the
application's setup log, that is anyone's guess.
Recommendation:
I recommend you reinstall the application in question. If the reinstall is
successful, it should properly register itself. Usually this allows you to
use Add/Remove in Control panel to then uninstall the application in
question.
