I seem to have lost admin control. ie; cannot enter registry
"regedit"
as I get the message "Registry editing have been disabled by your
administrator". Any help with this problem will be gratefully accepted.

See www.dougknox.com, Security, Disable/Enable Registry Editing Tools.
Also, note, unless you're on a corporate network, this is often a sign of
some type of malware/virus infection.

Thanks you, Doug, for your fast response. I found the spyware removal
software in Kelly's Korner and with it I found & removed a
considerable store of malware. As you suspected, I have to do a repair
job on Wndows to recover my tools. I did manage to recover "admin"
control although to what extent I don't know.
Much obliged, Doug.

Between Kelly's site and mine, you should be able to find the
tools/utilities needed to restore any disabled functions, once your malware
situation is resolved.
