Administrator EFS Certificate

I backed up the Administrator EFS Certificate as two keys, one as a .cer
without the private key & the other a .pfx file with the key. Then proceeded
to delete the certificate from the Personal , Trusted People, and Trusted
Root Certification Authority Stores. Once I rebooted I was no longer able to
view any of my encrypted documents as expected. However, after importing the
key back into all the stores. I can still not see any of my files. Have tried
both versions of the certification, have rebooted. How do I go about
resolving this? Thank you.
