WinXP Media Center. My HP computer has a single username named
HP_Administrator. When I boot with that account I see in the directory
<Documents and Settings> that there is also a user named Administrator.
However, it is not to be found in Control Panel > User Accounts.

How will I ever be able to use the Recovery Console from the CD if I do not
know the password of the Administrator account?

The password will be blank by default. Your administrator account is also,
disabled in normal mode by default. You can access it through safe mode by
tapping f8 and it will be an option in the welcome screen if you don't have a
welcome screen you can type in administrator as the username with a blank
password(meaning no characters). Hope this helps you, Good Luck,
