Dear All,

We have Windows 2003 and Windows XP environment. From few days we are
experencing a unique problem.

1. When we log on from administrator account we are unable to join or
disjoin the computer from the domain i.e. Change option is "grey out" in
Computer name tab\System Properties \My computer .
2. Unable to access file servers and printers i.e Workstation and server
services are stopped.
3. Windows Firewall and Internet sharing connection service is also stopped.

If we plug out network cable and then logon to the system using
administrator account then the system is ok .

We are suspecting that this is my be due to some windows security patch
installation using WSUS.

When we disabel Windows Firewall using group policy and start workstation
and server services then the problem is finished.

We are running Windows XP firewall for quite long time and unable to
understand why this is happening

Please help out ....

Regards
Rehan
