Last Friday I was browsing through the Internet to look for a way to do
backup for MS Access and I came across this article:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u..._03july14.mspx
i follow the instruction for XP Professional. The backup was fine and it
did what it says; however, this morning when i came in and turn on my
computer, i got an error msg - saying that "administrative" cannot login to
my computer. when I click ok from the pop-up menu; it continue to process as
usual except my "administrative user" (which is the one i usually work on) is
gone. i only have 1 user left.

what I did different Friday was when i created the backup, it prompt me for
a password and so i have given it a password then click ok.

I check "Local Users and Groups" from "Computer Management" and the user
"Administrative" is still there; yet, it says it cannot login. I have
restart my computer a couple times and it says the same.

I already try to do a system restore; it didn't work either.

please help.

If that remaining account has administrative privileges then try this:

Click Start/Run/and type in: Control Userpasswords2 and then press OK
Next click the 'Users' tab (if it's not already selected).
Now click on the user's account name.that you want to change/reset the
password for, and
Click the 'Reset Password' button located at the bottom right.
Enter the new password into the 'New password' box,
Enter the same password again in the 'Confirm new password' box.
Next click the 'OK' button and once again click 'OK'.
Finally restart your PC, and logon using the account name and password you
entered.
