me as to how this could have happened and how to rectify
too!

Any help is very appreciated!

So how many do you actually have? 1? 2? 3? How many do
you want?

MBSA provides and informative warning if there are
more than two, but that does not mean there should be
only two.
If you defined one for yourself and one for your partner,
then counting the built-in you already will have three.
If you start / run a cmd prompt and enter
net localgroup Administrators
what are you told ??

Log in as local administrator and create as many accounts as you want. Add any of these accounts to the local administrators group.

The next time one of these accounts is logged in, it will have administrative rights.

No problem Sylvia.
Many, many people get rather concerned over this
"guideline" recommendation of MBSA.
What is important is that you know of all admin accounts,
and have control over their passwords, which should be
good strong ones.

I have a similar problem.

MBSA tells me I have 3 users. There should only be 2.
Administrator and me. MBSA lists a third, which has a
very strange name:

S-1-5-21-1608279117-2317538923-1809067083-100

Win XP User Accts lists no such user. Could this be a
hacker? How do I remove it?
