I am finding a number of errors in the event viewer/system logs of the above
area and I am not sure what they mean. Can someone help me figure out what to
do with these errors and is there a way to fix them?

Here is one example that has many occurance in the event log. The portion
that gives the hard drive path is not always the same in each event but they
are all listed with the same source.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: SideBySide
Event Category: None
Event ID: 58
Date: 4/6/2007
Time: 7:51:16 PM
User: N/A
Computer: MICKEY
Description:
Syntax error in manifest or policy file "C:\Program
Files\Mcafee\MWL\Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC.MANIFEST" on line 5.

Thank you. Darren

Could be Adware, but most likely it's a problem with your .NET framework
(from the posts that I've read). Try uninstalling and reinstalling the .NET
framework(s) on your system.

Darren,

The error you are receiving is a Visual C++ 2005 error. Seems that McCrappy
is written in C++ 2005 & is a MFC application. MFC = Microsoft Foundation
Class.

The 'syntax error' is an error in their coding

The best thing you can do is contact McCrappy using their support system.
