Hi!

I appologize for asking that question. I know it's been asked hundert
times. And I have read nearly all of the hunderts thread about that, but I
couldn't find a suitable answer nowhere...

So: What is it with the "Administrator" account on XP Home??
As I am an IT professional I know what an admin account is. ;-)
But I cannot log on using that account. I found out that the default admin
password is blank. But when I try to log on, I get the message that I can
not log on because of an account limitation (don't know that exactly
message because I'm using a german Windows).

What up with that account? Is it disabled?

Thanks for your answers in advance

Christoph Pach

In XP Home, the Administrator account is only accessible via Safe Mode. This is by design and cannot be changed.

Thank you very much for this simple but the-only-true-fact answer. That's
was I needed to know!
