hello,
I created an adm file based on the white paper: using adm templates files
with registry based group policy. when I import this adm-file in a gpo to
test it, I can see the category in the administrative templates but I can't
edit a value. When I click on the category it says that no items can be
displayed.
My adm-file is the folowing :
CLASS USER
CATEGORY !!SMTPInstelling
KEYNAME "Software\Microsoft\Internet Account Manager\Accounts\00000001"
POLICY !!SMTPKey
EXPLAIN !!SMTP_Explain
PART !!SMTP_Tip1 TEXT
END PART
PART !!SMTP_Filename EDITTEXT
VALUENAME "SMTP Server"
MAXLEN 60
END PART
END POLICY
END CATEGORY;
[strings]
SMTPInstelling="vzw Stijn"
SMTPKey="SMTP Server"
SMTP_Explain="Instellen van de SMTP waarde in outlook express"

SMTP_Tip1="Geef hier de naam van de SMTP server"

I found it myself. I still had to select the filtering an disable the "Only
show policy settings that can be fully managed"
