addresses in reply are changed

We are using Exchange 2003 SP2 and Outlook 2003.
An email with many addresses in the TO: will come to a user and when they
reply to ALL spaces or periods are being added to some addresses.
Example (E-Mail Removed) might change to (E-Mail Removed) and of
coarse this would generate an NDR.
I have checked the users contacts for mistakes and have found none.
I also delete their nk2 file.

Multiple users are having this issue. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!
