Suddenly I cannot enter an address into the address bar and hit enter.
Explorer doesn't do anything. It doesn't even "try" to go to the page
address. Anyone know what happened?

Same issue here, but I traced it to the latest MS06-15 patch KB908531. When
I uninstalled that patch everything started working again. Also if you fully
qualify the URL in the address bar it works. I have not seen anything else
on this yet though.

Same issue here after the MS06-15 patch.I did discover that if you put the
full URL into the address line it worked. How do you remove the KB908531
update?

Hi,
Assuming Windows XP...
Go to Control Panel> Add or remove programs. Tick the "Show updates" box at
the top. Find Security Update KB908531 near the bottom of the list. Select
it. Click on Remove.

Hope this helps,
Don

Correct solution: go to" Add Remove programs" look for security updates at
the bottom of long list "KB 908531" is the bastard. Remove it and restart the
address bar will work again. MS get your s--t together!!!
