While trying to get on Communities about another problem....Windows mail
wouldn't let me sign in saying either my address or password was
wrong...thyey kept showing the six letter window...I copied and copied but
kept getting the error message..suggesting my address or password or both
are wrong. .I get into the regular mail account fine...I tried to contact
Windows Live ID but they sent an automated message to "walk you through"
getting a new password. However, it appears geared for XP not Vista. ( I
went from ME to Vista). Is this a common problem? Any suggestions would be
appreciated....

Tools | Options
Uncheck "Use newsgroup rating feature" and you won't need a Windows Live ID.
Did you even try to follow their instructions?
