It now hangs IE.
I cleared the history to see if that would resolve it.
Still does not work.

The next step would be to delete the History folder. A new one will be
created on restart.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/fre...ory-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.
