Address Cards in Outlook 2007

It would be very useful to be able to set the Header of each card to the
relevant category of that person. Any clues as how to do this?

Customize the view to include the Categories field;
View-> Current View-> Customize Current View...

That's half-way there, I can conditionally change the fotn color of the card
fields - what I really want to change is the font background color on the
"Card Headings" using the conditional formatting.

That is not possible since that header is used for indicating whether or not
it is selected.

Why not simply add the Categories field?

I have done, but it still doesn't give me a quick visual scan capablilty of
the headers, especialluy when I create a view of just the headers.
