When I select a new messafge and the word editor opens and I then click the
'To' my address book opens and I go to type a nam BUT the field isn't active
for about a minute and will not allow any entry to the field then it seems to
be OK - what is happenig?? This is more often than not - other times it is OK
and I can type straight away??

What version of Outlook and have you applied all Office Service Packs for
your version?

Outlook 2000 and I jsut use the atuto update feature with MS so I will run
manually and see if I have missed any updates.
