Address Bbook Not Updating

I tried posting this in the Outlook > Contacts newsgroup last week, but had
no responses so I'll try here:

I am conntected to an Exchange 2003 server via Outlook 2007. Everything
worked great until I switched to cached mode in Outlook. When there is a
change in the Global Address List on the Exchange server, I don't see the
changes when I pull up the Address Book in Outlook. I even waited 24 hours to
see if I would see the changes, but nothing. The Exchange server is set to
update the Default Offline Address Book at 5:00 am every day. I had to
manually download the Address Book to make the changes appear in Outlook. Is
there any way to automate this without manually downloading the Address Book
everytime there is a change to the Global Address List on the Exchange server?

Have you asked this in an Exchange news group? Sounds more like an Exchange thing than Outlook.

Any error messages in the event logs for that machine? It should be
downloaded every 24 hours.

Also, check this article and see if perhaps auto-download of the GAL has
been disabled in the registry for some reason:

No. That is where I was headed next if I didn't find anything here.
