Have you asked this in an Exchange news group? Sounds more like an Exchange thing than Outlook.

After furious head scratching, WallyG asked:
| I tried posting this in the Outlook > Contacts newsgroup last week,
| but had
| no responses so I'll try here:
|
| I am conntected to an Exchange 2003 server via Outlook 2007.
| Everything worked great until I switched to cached mode in Outlook.
| When there is a change in the Global Address List on the Exchange
| server, I don't see the changes when I pull up the Address Book in
| Outlook. I even waited 24 hours to see if I would see the changes,
| but nothing. The Exchange server is set to update the Default Offline
| Address Book at 5:00 am every day. I had to manually download the
| Address Book to make the changes appear in Outlook. Is there any way
| to automate this without manually downloading the Address Book
| everytime there is a change to the Global Address List on the
| Exchange server?
