I have an HP all-in-one product and IE6.
I have read the posts re the HP/IE problem after installing KB908531. I
used the kellys-korner website and clicked on line 383(right). I now have an
icon on my desktop that when I click on it comes up with a window that
says"your computer is halted and needs to do something about this script".
Does it sound as though I have done everything correctly to this point? Is
it safe to continue? If so, what do I click on in the box of choices? (for
example - stop this script, allow this activity once, allow the entire script
once, quarantine this script, authorize this script). I am not technically
savvy with computers and am afraid I am going to mess something up and have a
worse problem!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, if I do
click on one of the above mentioned to continue, is there something else that
will come up where I have to make a choice? If so, maybe you could warn me
about it now so I won't have to post again. At first I thought maybe I
should just unistall the MS Fix, but I don't even know how to do that! Plus
it might leave my computer vulnerable to something if I did so. Thanks in
advance to any who can help.

The dialog that pops up looks to be something to do with security software
you have on your PC as it's not a standard Windows message. I'm guessing you
have Norton Security Suite or something similar installed, right? The
message is popping up to warn you that a script is trying to run, and asking
you what to do. Just allow that script to run once, it only needs to run
once to make the registry changes it needs.

Thanks Daniel, Yes I am running Norton Anti-Virus.
Please be more specific as to which choice I need to click on-
"allow this activity once" , "allow the entire script once", or "authorize
this script".
You said to allow it to run once, but I am not sure which one to use (most
likely the first or second choice). Thanks in advance.

Either first or second. Second would be my choice, but I don't use Norton
and so have to guess which one will allow it to run completely.
