When I type a valid web address in the address bar, it
returns a message indicating that it could not find that
website. It then give a list of possible websites, which
closely resemble the on entered. The first one on the
list is the web address I entered in the address bar
verbatim and when you click on it, it goes to the website.

If you can get to the sites while including http://www... to the url then
check for the CoolWebSearch parasite.

Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
