Additional mailbox doesn't notify

I have 4 users who open an additional mailbox for requests for user
maintenance. These need to be handled in a timely fashion, but when that
mailbox gets new mail, there is no notification. They just have to notice
the new mail.

Under "Advanced E-mail Options", all four options are selected under "When
new items arrive in my Inbox", but those don't seem to happen unless that
mail arrives in their default Inbox.

I've told them, for now, that they just need to come up with a way to
remember to check the mailbox periodically, but that's not setting well.

Can someone suggest a way for them to be notified?

thx

You don't get new email notifications for secondary Exchange mailboxes.
A workaround is to either configure an IMAP connection for the mailbox or
open it in OWA.

Personally I just add the Inbox folder of the secondary mailbox to my
Favorite Folders list and place it at the top. This will get your attention
as when a new email arrives it will turn bold and have an "unread" count
behind it.

Additionally, you can set a recurring task with a reminder. Name it "Empty
mailbox!" or something like that.

Thanks Robert. I'm going there tomorrow and will have them try the OWA idea.
I've suggested the reminder, and they didn't like that, but it may be what
they have to do.
