Hi,

I am having a strange problem, whereby every time Excel 2002, I get every
Addin in the Office10\Addins folder open up, starting from AWFEXT.ECF to
SCRPTXTN.ECF. For instance, AWFEXT.ECF will open up with the following lines
of text, each on a different row. Any ideas how I can fix this?

I've managed to fix it. It seems that by pointing to the Addins folder on
another spreadsheet, I had inadvertently caused Excel to load up the whole
of that folder upon start-up; no matter which spreadsheet (if any) I was
starting up with.

Cheers

Hi John,
Not sure of what your solution was, but it sounds to me
like under Tools, Options, General that you
had an entry in Alternate Startup Folder pointing to your
addins folder. That would be the equivalent of putting
all addins in your Startup folder and every one of them
would start automatically -- not something that you want.

The only people who would really have use for
Alternate Startup folder are those on a network
and it's probably usually done wrong when they do
with the administrator assuming only one network
and noone has would be allowed to have their own macros.

Thanks for that David. You are correct. It had been changed for some reason.
I have blanked it out now.

Thanks

John
