Adding XP Pro to NT domain

I am currently switching domains (merger). My current
domain is still running, but I have several xp pro pc's
that I am trying to add to the new nt 4.0 domain (accross
a WAN). I am not a domain admin in the new domain, but I
do have the right to add pc's to the domain. When I try
to add a pc to the domain I get access denied, but not on
every pc. All pc's are identical. Some work some do
not. If I try to add the same pc as another user
it "sometimes" works. The PDC in the new domain shows an
event id of 560 when the add fails. When asked for
credentials I have tried just my username and newdomain\my
username. I have also looked at WINS which has both pdc's
statically mapped. Any suggestions on what may be causing
this or what else to look at?

Thanks,
Steve

The first problem I see is that you have static Wins mapping for PDC. WHY?
Configure the PDCs to register with Wins dynamically.
