I have added a clip into a presentation, the thing is I want my words to stay
up on the clip. But when I add the clip to the presentation, the words only
stay up for a second. How do I get them to stay up and the clip play, untill
I manually go to the next slide?

Unfortunately, you can't. Videos are always on top.

In PowerPoint, you can't place text or object over a video. Video clip will
always be on top.

Here's a possible workaround with OfficeOne Add-in:
Show text over video
