Hi

I am after some help in time.

I have a time sheet that I want to add up how many hours and minute
someone works. Col A is start time Col B is End Col C is total.

A B C
09:15:00 14:30:00 05:15:00
09:15:00 15:15:00 06:00:00
09:00:00 14:50:00 05:50:00
09:00:00 14:45:00 05:45:00
12:00:00 16:15:00 04:15:00

No problem doing that but I want to add up col C so it returns hour
and minutes. ? If I use what Excel help it says =SUM(F14:F20)*24 then
get 27.08 which is not right. I think it should be 27.05

What am I doing wrong

Format the total cell as [h]:mm, and just use =SUM(F14:F20)

=SUM(F14:F20)
and format the resulting cell with the custom format
[hh]:mm

27:05 in time format equals 27.083333 in decimal format
so you are not doing anything wrong, I am assuming you are using *24 because
you want
to calculate an amount so that's correct, if not use use custom format
[hh]:mm:ss and it
will return 27:05
