I purchased my student version online and have a new computer I'd like to
install it on. I do not have the original key to copy in, so how do I go
about getting it? I am in desperate need of this ASAP, and when I attempted
to go to the Microsoft support page, they wanted to charge me $50 for
assistance.

I believe there is a link someplace where I can request my key and they will
send it to my email I registered with. I have only uploaded the program once
to my old crappy (Dell) laptop, so there should be no issues.

Thanks to anybody who can offer me support! I am in class online and cannot
work on assignments without my applications.

You will need to contact the vendor from where you purchased the product to
see if they still have a record of the key, and to see what they require.

So why don't you go to that place and request your key? You must have a
confirmation of your purchase somewhere with that information.

As this is an end-user-to-end-user newsgroup, we cannot help you with
activation issues.

Note that depending on your issue, the $50 support costs are waived. If you
have sufficient proof of purchase, you could be entitled for a free
replacement key but I can't make any guarantees on that; you'll have to ask
a Microsoft Support or Sales Representative for that.

Also note that the Office 2007 Home and Student Edition comes without
Outlook so the way that you ended up here asking for help is interesting ;-)

And WHERE did you download this "online" copy of Outlook or Office? If
you paid Microsoft the pricey fee for a technet or msdn subscription so
you can download legit copies of Windows then support is included.

And why don't you have the product key if you truly did *purchase* a
legitimate copy of Windows? If the product key wasn't included in the
sale then contact the seller regarding the incomplete sale.

ASAP will get you no further here in trying to get someone to help you
pirate or hack a copy of Windows.

Wrong. They want your charge info so *if* it is a chargeable tech call
then you get charged for the support that you get. If you have a
legitimate copy of Outlook or Office and can prove it to Microsoft then
they'll give you a new product key but only if it is a retail version
of their product. If it is an OEM version then you have to contact the
OEM'er that sold you that item.

There probably is. It would be to whomever sold you the software.

First you said you want to install it on a new computer. Now you're
saying you uploaded (which really meant you downloaded) the program but
Microsoft is the only place a download with subscription is legitimate.
Plus now you say that you put it on your old crappy laptop.

And what class might that be that demands the use of Outlook for
*e-mail* to do the assignments? Uh huh, your story is false. You can
use ANY e-mail client to receive and send e-mails (to retrieve or
submit assignments which means this must be some "online school" rather
than a real one). There are lots of free e-mail clients, like Windows
Live Mail and Thunderbird, so go use one of those. Hell, even the
Outlook Express or Vista's Windows Mail are more than sufficient for
e-mailing. Nothing is stopping you from using e-mail other than
yourself.

If Office or Outlook was a requirement of the class then it is a
resource that should be included with the tuition or that you are
required to obtain which means that school would have to provide a copy
or the cost of the class' tuition means having to buy the student
version. So go to your school who sold you the student license.

You can't keep your story straight. This is NOT a warez or
pro-pirating newsgroup. Go to whomever sold you the software. If
retail, follow the Contact Us link at Microsoft's home page to get to
their web page for customer support regarding getting replacements for
lost product keys.
