Hi,

I'm trying to add a Seagate ST336607LW 37 Gb Hard Disk, SCSI Ultra320
to a on-board Adaptec SCSI Controller AIC-7892 Ultra160/m
on a IBM XSeries 220 Server. The server already have another Seagate
Disk the ST336605LW Ultra160 and a tape drive.

The new hard disk is recognized by the Adapatec Controller and in the
bios menu of the scsi controller, I can scan the disk for problems or
format it as well.

The problem is that when Win2000 server boots, it does not recognised
the drive and in the event viewer there is a messages that says :
A parity error was detected on \Device\SCSI\adpu160m1. The disk is
not available in disk management.
Parity is enable on the controller card and all other SCSI devices.

Anu ideas ??

Thanks
