My drive crashed and the only copy I was able to salvage of my Arcsoft Suite
was what I had cut/pasted onto a disk, but when I cut/pasted it back to my
harddrive nothing worked properly

I lost the link in the right click menu, usually when I right click a
picture and click "Edit" it automatically took me to PhotoImpression, but it
now takes me to Paint. When I select the "Browse" option and click
PHotoImpression, nothing happens?

How can I fix this? Is there any way to get the program functioning properly
again and restore it to the "Edit" part of the menu when I want to edit a
picture?

Also, when I open Funhouse and Card Creator, none of the functions work, it
keeps telling me I need to reinstall from the disk, only I never had a disk,
it was all lost with the recovery drive? What do I do?

First, try running PhotoImpression and look carefully through every
single option screen. There should be something there to register the
program in Windows as a picture editor for specified file types. Most
image programs have something like that.

If you can't find that, you can always edit the "Edit" action
yourself.

1. Open Windows Explorer or My Computer and click Tools | Folder
Options | File Types.

2. Select the appropriate type and click Advanced.

3. Change the action (or, better, add one).

Copying and pasting folders from your old installation and
expecting the programs to run properly is a waste of time. The
programs have to be reinstalled in order to work. If these
programs came preinstalled on your computer, your only recourse
is to contact the manufacturer and request replacement
installation disks.

Just out of curiosity, after the crash, did you have to
reinstall Windows XP? If so, what did you use to do this.

I gave the computer to a tech person and let them change the drive for me,
they unfortunatly installed XP Pro instead of the XP Home I originally had so
I dont' know how anything works on it now, and I lost all my graphics, music,
and video programs as well

I tried following your instructions as listed below and when I tried to set
PhotoImpression as the program to open .psf files, it wouldn't show up in the
menu so it wouldn't set it

*sigh* this sucks! I have a working program but still can't use it
