When I received my DELL computer it had the full 200Gb
drive as one partition for the C: drive. I would like to
partition this drive. How do I add a partition to the boot
drive?

If you want to wipe the drive and start again, use FDISK
If you want to keep windows as it is, perhaps look
for "Partition Magic".
