Hi all,
I'm trying to understand Microsofts guide
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314479
I would be grateful if someone could explain to me in layman's terms what
the procedure is?
Firstly what does this mean?
"Create a distribution point on a network server by copying the I386 folder
from the Microsoft Windows CD-ROM to a location on the server"
thanks
Paul

Copy the I386 folder on the installation CD to a you chose folder on the
network server. This is part of the process to setup for network installs of
windows.
The article has several different install variations explained.
The most widely used one might be to copy OEM drivers to a computer during
or after a windows install.
As written the article is slanted towards installation and prep of a new
computer by an OEM or retail computer shop for a customer.
