Hi,

I hope so one lead me in the right direction... I am
trying to add a new page to an existing web project and I
am doing this:

I want to make more pages on the same navigation level so
I open an existing page > go to File > Save As > assign a
new Page title by clicking on Change > type in the new
title > OK > type in a new File name. Save. This gives me
an exact copy of the first page without altering the
first page. FAIR ENOUGH! But now when I go to my
NAVIGATION PANE, I loose my whole tree! All I see is
HOME-CONTACT-SITE MAP!! What the hell happen to my
extensive WEB Site with my Tree and subtrees, etc.?

I had to resort to a back up of my site... Please tell
me how to add a new page without screwing up my Tree in
the Navigation Pane.

Thanks - Eddie

Don't use save as - that changes your nav view
Select the file, and use copy / paste in Folder list
Then rename your file and add it to your Nav View

Thanks for the quick response. I tried doing just as you
instructed, in folder list renamed a file then dragged
it into the NAV Window (making sure that it linked to the
subtree I wanted. Then I changed the name of tghe file
in the NAV window because it still had the "originals"
file name. It double clicked the file and it went from
NAV to Pages View - when I went back into the NAV
window. The NAV views got screwed up again! All I saw
was HOME-CONTACT-SITE MAP!! My extensive WEB Site with my
Tree and subtrees were gone - again! Arrrrgh! What am I
doin wrong?

Stefan -

Have to differ with you on this one, Stefan. Save As does *not* change the nav view in my
experience. It sounds more to me like the poster opened a page as opposed to a web.

Regards,
Craig
