Adding new device (stand alone fax server)

I have never used 2000. I need to add a network fax to
the system. Server is working on win2000. How do I set up
new fax unit with an ip address and make this unit
accessible to all on the LAN(7stations). The fax unit is
set up with a network card installed in it. Cabling is
all in place. Yes I know, school is in and I am in a
steep learning curve.
