How do I add a new computer to an existing LAN network?

If the network uses a domain controller then the computer will need to be joined to
the domain to take advantage of domain resources. Otherwise simply install a network
adapter and plug it into the network switch assigning it a IP address compatible with
the network or if using DHCP configure it to obtain an address automatically. The
