Hi Marty
Sound in ppt can be tricky. The good news is you can make it work! Your
sound is set to play on click, you need to goto custom animations and set it
to play automatically or you can adjust when it starts and stops, in the
advanced timeline. You can also set it to play for just that slide or for x
number of slides, depending on the length of the clip of course.
Another way is to invoke the transistions dialogue and insert loopable wav
file, you can find tonnes of good one on the net. The advantage to looping is
that you a lot of control and the file size can be tiny compared to inserting
a big wma, mp3 or full length wav file. Midis are small and can be used too,
but often sound cheesy - remember only wav files can be inserted in the
transistions dialogue. Have a look in the help files, you can start and stop
sounds, adjust the volume (wavs only again). Anything is possible.
