I am using 2.1.4026.0, under Version 5.1 (build 2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158
: Service Pack 2) and am having problems with adding audio tracks to a "slide
show".

the pictures (each is roughly a 1 MB photo from a Canon digital camera, so
is a .jpg format) import properly and the title track and closing credits are
great additions, but I cannot get successful audio recorded passed the 1st
song on the independant (not tied to video) audio track (importing .mp3 files
ripped from CDs and on the hard drive, by "importing audio or music"). each
song is from a different album, so not in the same directory folder, but are
branches in the same root folder.

in the timeline view, the audo 2nd and 3rd songs are "flatlined", like they
do not contain anything. I have managed to stumble my way thru getting the
2nd song in the same audio track to be audible on the "timeline view", even
though it still appears to be flatlined, but the 3rd still alludes me. when I
click on the purple timeline indicator (in playback timeline mode), and
jiggle it back and forth (seeking left to right in time), the audio
re-appears, like there was some sort of switching issue (codec?, not sure)
when starting that last song. these songs do not overlap in time, BTW. should
they?

my goal is to record the whole thing to DVD after creating the movie. I am
quite frustrated. is there something simple I have overlooked?

please help...

best regards,

Try converting your MP3 files to WAV, and see
if that helps.
