Hi All
I am currently using Powerpoint 2003 and simply want to print out the notes
pages with the note area to have lines to write on, rather than just a blank
area.
Is there a selection to do this or do I have to "draw" the lines myself in
the master notes page.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Try double clicking on the edge of the textbox in the notes page, then set
the line color to black.

Maybe I wasn't exactly clear. I don't want a box around the note area.
What I need is actual lines in the note area for the users to write on.
I thought there might have been an option for this, but I think i may have
to "draw" my own lines in the master sheet.

Hi Michael,
You will have to draw you own lines manually. Alternately, you can choose to
print it as a handout.

You might also want to take a look at HandOut Wizard add-in:

I kinda thought that, and I guess the amount of time I wasted trying to
solve the issue, I would have drawn them anyway.
But I wanted to make sure I wasn't doing a manual job when I didn't need to.
I will check out the Addin though

Try File | Send to | Word. You can get lines next to your thumbnails using
it.

You're welcome.

I recommend you choose Paste Link when you use Send to Word. Then in Word,
Ctrl+A to select all and then Edit | Links and break all the links. Long
story short, this will help keep the file size down a bit; Send to Word
generates pretty big files.

Thank you for the extra tip.
Fortunately, it will be a print run only and then the Word file will be
deleted.
But I might go through the steps and see what sort of file size difference
there is.
It might mean we can save the file for future use.
