Adding a hidden mailbox to a user profile

I am trying to find a way (manual or automated) to allow a user to add a
mailbox to his Outlook profile after that mailbox has been hidden from the
GAL. The scenario is allowing supervisors access to terminated member
mailboxes. When a member is terminated, we hide his mailbox from the GAL.
Once it's been hidden, it is no longer available to be added using the "Add
Mailbox" feature in the Advanced tab of his profile settings. We would like
to avoid having to unhide a mailbox just so a user can add it to his profile.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can do this with Outlook, but you have to use the Exchange Server's
Distinguished Name (DN) for the mailbox using the form:

/o=EXCHNG_ORG/ou=EXCHNG_SITE/cn=Container1/cn=Container2/cn=Alias

http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q142781
XCLN: Mailing to Recipients Hidden from the Address Book (Q142781)

Alternatively, you can unhide the mailbox, add it, then hide it again.

I thought of another follow-up question. Ultimately, we would like to
automate the process of adding a mailbox to a profile. Are you aware of a
way to automate the addition of a mailbox to an existing Outlook profile? I
am aware of the Microsoft technote at
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;171636. I am not a
programmer, but I'm told this is written in C++. Is there any kind of a
profile generator utility that you might be aware of that could add a mailbox
to an existing profile?

Thanks again for your great help!
