After all this time, I have almost a screen full of miscellaneous
programs on my /Start/All Programs menu and I would like to put them in
folders for each type of programs. Is there a way to add folders to
that menu so that I can simply the menu?

Thank you

Jack,

Right-click the START button & choose OPEN

Right-click in the START MENU folder & create a new folder & then add the
icos you want to to it.

I hope this helps,

Create suitable desktop folders and drag these program items from the
start menu into these folders.

Open either MyComputer or Explorer > C:\Documents and Settings > All Users folder >
Start Menu > Programs.
Right click in the Right pane and in the popup menu click New > Folder.
Type a name in for the folder and press Enter.
Drag and drop into the folder what you want in it to your hearts content.

Copy/paste is simple, you can do it several different ways.
#1 is the quickest:
Press CTRL+A------This will hilite all
Press CTRL+C------This will copy all that's hilit
Press CTRL+V------This will paste all that was copied

#2:
Press the left mouse button once at the beginning of the folder(s), file(s) or text
to be copied.-----This places the blinking cursor at the beginning of the folder(s),
file(s) or text to be copied.
Move the mouse pointer to the end of the list or text to be copied, press/hold down
the Shift key and left click the last of the folder(s), file(s) or text.-----This
will hilite all of the selected folder(s), file(s) or text to be copied.
Use CTRL+C to copy
Use CTRL+V to paste

#3:
Press/hold down the left mouse button and drag it over the folder(s), file(s) or text
to be copied.-----This will hilite all of the selected folder(s), file(s) or text to
be copied.
Use CTRL+C to copy
Use CTRL+V to paste

#4:
Press/hold down the CTRL key and click on a folder(s), file(s) or text.-----This will
hilite the folder(s), file(s) or text to be copied. It only hilites to the point
where the Enter key was used to begin a new line or paragraph.
Use CTRL+C to copy
Use CTRL+V to paste

#5:
Hilite the folder(s), file(s) or text to be copied in any of the 4 ways explained
above.
Right click once on the page.
Click on Copy in the popup menu.
In the program/application/folder you want to copy the folders, file(s) or text into,
right click and click on Paste in the popup menu.

#6:
In the program/application/folder you want to copy the folders, file(s) or text from,
hilite the folders, file(s) or text to be copied in any of the 4 ways explained
above.
Go to Edit on the menu bar at the top of the program/app and click on Copy.
In the program/application you want to paste the folders, file(s) or text into.
Go to Edit on the menu bar at the top of the program/app and click on Paste.
Pictures/graphics can all be copied/pasted in the same manner. If you ever need to
move text or a graphic in an program/app/document that you created. Cut instead of
Copy. The hotkeys for cut are CTRL+X. Cut is also in the right click popup menu and
in the edit menu. Once Cut, Paste where needed.

Hi Jack,

Right click the Start Button and select Explore All Users. From there go to
Programs. In the right pane create new folders - drag and drop.

Added info:

You can replace either My Pictures or My Music with a specialized folder of
your choice. It will behave as the above folders do as in cascading, etc.

Add Folder to Start Menu - Replace MP or MM (Line 2)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Or you can add a folder or link under Search and Run. Note: If you running
an OEM, it will replace their link.

Add a Folder or Link Under the Run Command (Line 180)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

And/or: Add a folder to My Computer, Desktop and Right Click (Start Button)

Add a Folder to My Computer and Desktop (Line 130)
Add a Folder to the Start Button - Right Click (Line 124)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Another option is adding a special folder to My Documents as a sub.
