Adding File types to WMP 10

I want to add a file type (amr) to Media player 10. I have added it (amr) to
the Windows file types in folder options in control panel and am able to play
the amr file in Media player 10 but it wont save the amr file in the media
player library and wont allow me the option to add the amr file to media
player.
Specs:
Windows XP Home 2002 Service Pack 3
Any help appreciated.
